  7. Even Stanton Friedman, the godfather of American UFOlogy, says Lazar is a fraud.

Bob Lazar is the whole reason that Area 51 has become a fixture in the UFO cult.  That report you linked is at least 20 years old.  The man is a nutcase.  Two reporters have aggressively investigated his past and there is no record of him having the degrees he claims.  He is also unknown at Los Alamos labs, where he claimed to have been employed at one time.  Of course, he claimed that the government is trying to erase his past, but professors at the major universities where he says he got his PhDs -- professors he claims would know him, had either never taught at those Universities or had never heard of him.  The same is true for Los Alamos.  He did appear in a directory, but records show that this was probably a very short term employment under someone else, and not as a professional.  Probably a technician or coffee boy.

Apparently he runs a second rate mail order business out in the desert now, and has been relatively inaccessible to the press ever since his past has been called into question.  I'd say he has been pretty visible for someone the government wanted to erase.  For several years he was the darling of the UFO circuit.

As for lie detector tests, I know about them first-hand.  The only thing a polygrapher can detect is what he THINKS about you from a pre-test interview.  Then he makes the results turn out how he wants.  People who lie on polygraph tests often try to do things to throw them off, like Travis Walton did by holding his breath. This is a sure sign of deception.  The only other thing they are good for is getting people to confess.  A good polygrapher can actually get people to do this sometimes by conning them into believing they failed the test.

What about the trace printouts?  Meaningless.  The polygrapher will tell you that only he has the expertise to interpret them.  Of course, if he says you were telling the truth, he won't mind sharing it with you, as it will show no evidence of deception.  Right: it doesn't show ANYTHING, whether you're lying or telling the truth.  Maybe Lazar knew these things.  Since he had been in Naval Intelligence, this is a distinct possibility.  Ironic: the profession of determining truth is, itself, a scam.

Edit: Personally, I think Friedman is just jealous because Lazar stole the spotlight from him 20 years ago.  They're BOTH nutcases.
