When was the last time you had fresh lobster or crab for dinner????

Or do you like restaurants were you get to pick your own live lobster or crab before he gets cook for you????

I'm bothered by the fact that you have to put them into boiling water while they're still alive.

I live in Maryland and that's a MUST HAVE during the summer months.  I've never really cooked a live lobster before, but cooking live crabs...that's what we do on the east coast.  That's our purpose in life!

Personally I don't cook either, but my husband does.  He steamed lobsters a few weekends ago for our anniversary dinner and we had wonderful charbroiled oysters with them.  Mmmmm...  We also do crab boils frequently in New Orleans, usually just when crawfish is not in season.  We are actually having a crawfish boil this weekend...can't wait!  I like going out for lobster too though.  I really have no preference.  We have a great restaurant in NOLA that stuffs their lobsters with the best crabmeat dressing and tops it off with hollandaise.  It's wonderful!  Also, boiled/stemed seafood is so great because it's nearly fat free.  You can stuff yourself with no guilt.  So for that reason alone, I try not to think about the poor creature's point of view too much.  ;)
