I don't have it because I work at a vet clinic and already get decent discounts on services.  We do accept it, however, and I don't know of any vets in my area that DON'T take it.

Most veterinarians accept it. If you have a currently healthy, young pet insurance is fairly low (18-30$ a month). However, if you try to get insurance on a pet that already has health issues or is older it is more expensive. I think it is worth it if you are a good pet owner that takes their animals in atleast twice a year. It definitely helps if an emergency arises. However, it probably isnt worth it for an animal that you dont take in for check ups or vaccines, just when its sick.
