websites that have free ringtones for verison phones? my brothers friend said she gets her ringtones free from a website and i cant find any. please help

I've had Verizon for the past 6 years and i have never found a free ringtone website compatible with Verizon. The only hope you have is going to get it now, music and tones, go down to my sounds and then record new. If you're lucky you'll be able to record a song and set it as a ringtone. If that doesn't work, your only other option is to buy ringtones off get it now which is a complete rip-off.

i recommend www.ventones.com

all you need is a user name and a password, and you can type any ring tone you desire and have it by the click of a button:)

and you can also upload songs from your itunes or mp3 player list and mae them into ring tones! good luck!

myxertones doesnt work anymore for verizon.. they have a new policy. but u can go to mxertons.com and u would have to download the ringtone then send it to ur phone threw a email. thats the only way to get free ringtones

I use myxer.com, but it does involve you using the web browser on your phone to download them (it gets sent via text message to your phone).  On average, I think it adds $3 or $4 to my AT&T bill because I don't have the web on it.

ok so this is what i do,

i go to myxertones.com they have really good ringtones there and you get to preview them and all that great stuff. they used to have it so you could just send them but verizon and at&t and all the major cell phone companies signed a thing that makes it so you cant get free ringtones but theres a way around it. once youve created an acount there you can just click send to phone and then there will be a link saying download ringtone. you click that and then you go to an email i use yahoo so its extremely easy.

if you have yahoo then click add files and then go through your downloads and click the one you downloaded (you can send several at a time)

for the person your sending it to you put your cell phone number and then @vzwpix.com i do it all the time it works great all the ringtones are crystal clear and everyone i know does this same process. it sounds pretty complicated but its really not. if you have any questions feel free to ask me. ive done it for 100's of ringtones.

phonezoo.com  google it and a bunch will come up, but phone zoo is the best. and if you have cds then you can actually make your own ringtones.. it takes a minute to sign up and it is free. just go to create ringtone after you register and it just takes a few minutes to make you own music. or you can pick from thousands they already have.. have fun. its addictive.

gotta be careful with that...they claim the tones are free but then the change you and you dont know it till its too later..trust me i did it b4 thinking the tones were free & where not...best advie is to NOT do that...alot of my friends have told me DO NOT ENTER YOU cell number on any website...

but your choice..if you must do that.. be sure to get permission first from who ever pays the cell bill

Verizon went through alot of trouble to make sure that when you get a ringtone its through their overpriced service.  The websites will not work with a Verizon phone and will just land you with hidden charges.

Be careful of any websites that CLAIM to have free ringtones.  Read the fine print.  I've heard too many stories of ppl who signed up for alleged "free" ringtones and all of a sudden started receiving a monthly charge on their phone bill for the "free" service.

i've found that phonezoo is the most reliable, and easy site. you can upload songs, and make your own ringtone of any song you want to. it's easy, and very convenient.

there was a website called 3gforfree that had a whole lot of ringtones and screensavers for free. But the only one it did not support was Verizon. The website barley has anything on it now. Try to look up on google how to make your own. It depends on what type of phone you have. But most phones have voice memo capabilities and after you record something you can select to have it set as a ringtone under options. That would be the next best thing.

I not Sure if this gives out free ring tones but if you go google and type in

BLUESKYFROG

and you sign up you can get these things called "BUGS" (you receive these from answering questions and doing surveys)  if you get enough of these you can choose a ring tone.
