I found this old story about a woman who threw her guinea pig out of the window ~ she was an alcoholic, but would you keep a Guinea pig in the house?

I love guinea pigs, they're cute loving little animals.

Our family is totally mad - we now have 8, and they're all kept indoors.

When we got the first 2, keeping them in sawdust/hay was too much, absolutely minging.

They're now housed on fleece, which looks nicer and doesn't smell at all.

They are ok in children's zoos but I wouldn't want one, they are too timid a bit boring actually, give me a cat or dog any day .

I used to have a Guinea Pig (called Scruffy!), and yes it was kept in the house.

they are food, why keep food in the house, you wudnt keep a cow or pig in the house wuya ( no you wud divorce him or her)

I'm not a big fan, I prefer cats.  

You arent really meant to keep guinea pigs and rabbits in the house, they actually meant to kept in hutches outside as its too hot for them inside

my brother and i had them when we were kids.......they were always fighting and one day we thouhgt they had killed each other so wrapped them in toilet paer like mummies and buried them in the garden.......later my mum found out what we had done and dug them up.........there was toilet paper everyewhere and they prob suffocated woopss!! we were only young, but never had any other pets!

I like guineapigs. Used to have two. We kept them outside until one died and the other became lonely and we had no choice but to keep him indoors

I'd like to get a guinea pig for the kids but my husband is scared of them! I don't think they're supposed to be kept in the house.

I like Guinea Pigs. I have 2.....they live in the house. They are lovable and low maintenance...............their squeaky noise beats a human noise any day! They don't answer back!

As for the old lady who threw her GP out the window.......poor guinea pig couldn't obviously supply her alcohol!!!

I've got two guinea pigs and they both live in the house, although they go outside in their run in dry weather.  They are lovely pets and no problem to keep indoors at all.

I have a young visitor with me for a few weeks during the holidays and he brought his hamster with him, the bloody thing bit me yesterday!

Guinea Pigs are OK but they need to be kept outside in a big run with rabbits.
