Pictures In The Clouds

Look, see in the clouds,

a sailing ship in full sail.

Hear its singing shrouds,

her captains hearty hail.

Look above your head,

no, look more over there.

Yes, just as you have said,

a cloud shaped like a bear.

A sky full of fluffy scenes,

drifting before your eyes.

All fading into has-beens,

when looking at the skys.

(Fading- Disappear gradually)

  4. Cloud images - a meditation of the soul - a portend of things to come - a fantasy land of children - a time of wonderment for the mature - a place of solace for the aged ♥

  5. Hours of sitting on a farm tractor caused many wondrous sights to appear as one got to watch the clouds grow and morph.  Very nice.

  6. Cumulatively.

It's been a long time since I've just laid back and done that. Anymore,  the only clouds I've been watching are storm clouds.

Thanks, that reminded me of a more simpler time.

  7. As a metaphor for what is transient in life yet always before us this works very well indeed.  We see in each exactly as much as our imaginations permit...

  8. I like the drumbeat of this poem and, of course, the visual aspect. The  fading clouds as metaphor for life is perfect poetic expression.

  9. I have never seen clouds more interesting than the summer ones here in Florida. These clouds come in sets often.  Mares tails, cirrus, cumulus and even one kind that looks like fish scale, all vying for attention at the same time.
