  1. I think Dishnetwork has by far the best HD DVR hardware.

We love the ability for 1 DVR to output to two TVs (separate rooms).  This allows us to record our favorite shows once, then we can watch them in the living room or before we go to bed in the bedroom.  That one feature would be hard to lose if we ever are forced to switch.

The main drawbacks for a dish are:  Limited number of TV hookups, and bad weather can cause bad reception (although it is fairly rare).

Main drawbacks for cable:  Hardware is bad (DVRs, guides, etc), channel line ups are normally subpar because Dish and DirectTV are always competing.

  2. Cable don't go out when a light storm comes in but satellite does...My stepdaughter & her bf got jacked when Dish Network run together initial bills and since they didn't read the paperwork; they got caught up w/their 24 months agreement when they decided to discontinue service after 3 mths...They thought satellite was far cheaper and better than cable, well now they can't even get regular channels on tv

  3. i prefer cable because satellite can be disrupted due to sunspots or even bad weather.

    cable is more reliable

    and it is usually faster

  4. I like Cable better than Satellite because with Cable, you can watch TV, not worrying about what the weather is like outside.

  5. I prefer satellite just because of HD and the prices.

  6. I used to prefer cable but satelite is much better since digital came in.

  7. cable
