Of course I do. I heard even  the cannibals  give thanks before consuming a human being.

I do, even in restaurants and fastfoods. It's not like you really have to close your eyes and utter lengthy words to give thanks. A simple pause before taking a bite will do, long as it's sincere.

Of course I do, we are Christians aren't we? It should be in ourselves that we thank the Lord for the blessings we have received before eating.

well sometimes when i remember...most of the time when im in the car nd were bout to go somewhere and before i go to sleep to ask for forgiveness for the things i hav done that is wrong in that day..or somethin...^^

We do it when I was still in my old school, and we only do it occasionally during occasions

i just do the sing of the cross then eat..

but as the day ends, i pray..

We do.  My kids regularly initiate it.   Anyone of them can lead.  While praying I just keep quiet and observe everyone around the table.  After saying the last word of the prayer, as always I say amen in a loud voice and take the first bite immediately.  Amen??  Amen!!

i used to.. when i was little younger, twas a good practice,.. unfortunately now, i only remember it when im halfway done with my desert plate..maybe next time i'd bring yellow stick on notes :p

Yes I always mutter a prayer of thanks before eating. It doesn't even take a minute, that shouldn't be so hard. I admit that I always forget the after meal prayer.



My mom taught me these words:

Bless us Oh Lord for these Thy gifts which we are about to receive from Thy bounty, through Christ our Lord, Amen

I mutter a different prayer now but the essence of thanking God for the meal is the same.

My family do it always because we want to give thanks to the Lord that gave us something to eat. I also do it at school. =)
