Do you think I'm lazy?

Lately, I've been missing some work. I was sick one day last week. I missed another day b/c I had worked an extra day a week ago. I had to leave work early on Thurs. to turn in some forms. So my supervisor said I could go after I said I would come back on Fri. I was late today b/c I had to cash my check from the Scholarship Foundation. I went on Sat. but there was an alert on the check so they told me to come back today. I asked her could I leave at my reg. time b/c the manager shorted me 1.5 hrs. on the last time sheet and said he would add an hour b/c they don't do 1/2 hrs. for checks. She told me she wasn't sure if he added it or not, so I told her I would stay.

  1. It depends on where you work at and what state.  Most employers are "at will" meaning that you can be fired sometimes for no reason or the wrong reason which is unfair.  It sounds like to me that you probably need to manage your time better, I don't know.  Good Luck

  2. People who are always asking for time off do get annoying.  If it gets annoying enough they may just find someone else to do your job.  How badly do you need the money and the job.  I guess that is question I would ask.  Will you ever need a reference for your next job?
