  1. I think it is as varied as the people you could ask.

Some people truly thrive on drama, chaos and attention.  Others prefer their lives more settled and orderly.

No real catty remarks are needed, because a lot of what you are alluding to is true.  If you work for a large employer like a call center atmosphere, you see people like this all the time.  Or amongst your friends and family.  It varies from person to person, but certainly some people crave the drama.

    Good question.  Thank you.

  2. I think some people crave chaos because while they are dealing with the drama they don't have to look at the shortcomiings in their lives.  (and the reason why they never really get a handle on life)

  3. Some people are opposed to any kind of structure or organization.  They don't want rules or managers or authority-figures.  They want an amorphous situation where all are equal, and anyone can do anything -- in other words, complete democracy without authority.  If that sounds like a description of chaos, you're right, but that's not their intention.

  4. Some people get an adrenaline rush from urgent deadlines and quick decisions.  It doesn't matter if you give them plenty of time - they thrive on the intensity of a fast approaching deadline.  Their argument is that the sense of urgency causes the "creative juices" to flow.

Some of these people may be procrastinators in disguise, like the student that waits til the last minute to start the term paper or book report, or the worker who waits until April 14 to start preparing their tax return.
