Do you think people need something more?

Question

Do you think people make up all these conspiracy theories and such just because they have a yearning for something more. I think they can't just accept that our government is just a government and there is no Illuminati or new world order. There is no overwhelming evidence on most conspiracy theories and nothing that really stands out to me. You could also compare this to the belief in God i suppose. Maybe people just need to know there is a higher meaning to everything in the world, but cannot accept the fact that that there is not.
