Do you think slugs are ugly?

there not nice, and that torture. they may only be slugs but i don't think you would like someone to put salt on your eyes lets say its not a pleasant experience. Find something else to do.

i've never salted a slug, my brother has. it kills them, stop doing it.

I grant they r not the best looking creatures in the world, however, they r important for ecology and they r eaten by the birds so they have natural predators anyway.

So if u put poison down for them, then u also affect other wildlife in the chain.

Let them live. Lets hear it for the slugs!

slugs the second uligest thing in the world. but compare the slugs to u the slugs would look like an angel .

Well, that all depends on what you mean by "slugs".  To me there are three (3) types.  

   1) A phony coin (washer) you put in a vending machine

   2) An unproductive person who lays around doing nothing

   3) That slimy, squirmy thing you find on the sidewalk

I have never poured salt on the first 2 types.  I don't suspect it would have any effect.

However, I have poured salt on the third choice and they just kinda shrivel up and die.  

Too bad that doesn't work on #2.  Oh well!

Slugs are OK in the right place and NOT eating all my lettuces and beans! Many years ago when on holiday in Cornwall, the lady took a jar of salt in the garden and put the slugs in it. Poor slugs, they all died. If you MUST collect them, put a saucer of ale/lager or beer out. They love it. will crawl in and get so p*ssed that they can then be collected and put elsewhere. They are not ugly, I always think of them as homeless snails.................

I suppose that living beings shouldn't be divided into ugly and cute just 'cos all of them are created by nature and nature doesn't make mistakes. All it does is harmonic and balanced and if you remove even a little part of the natural community(e.g. slugs) the whose system can collapse.

All animals are beautiful in there own way, even slugs! Because if you think about another slug will fall in love with one.

Putting salt on it kills it. It is like slug murder!
