Do you tip at sonic?

Hi, I work at sonic. Just wanted to know if you tip or not?

I don't know how it works at most sonics, but at ours we make the minimum wage, and then we keep the tips at the end of the night. A lot of people say we "just bring them there food". Just like in regular restaurants, we take your order on speaker, we make the drinks AND the ice cream, we put the food in the bags, some of us actually help make the food, and we carry it out. We also come around with a tray called a "check back" tray which is filled with different condiments, napkins, and so forth. When you push the button and ask for other sauces, we have to walk out and take it to you. I personally think we do more than waitresses at restaurants (which I've done both).

Do you tip better if their attractive? Have you ever flirted with someone at a sonic?

Ive never tipped at Sonic. Dont think I ever will. Its a fast food place, not a sit down restraunt. Thats just my personal opionon.

And I have flirted with people at sonic. Where I am, we just got one this summer so the lines are really long, and you will be waiting in your car for atleast 20-45mins everytime just to get to the stall or drive thru. So when the workers come around of course we flirt, there is nothing else to do while you wait, plus they are bored too so they start it most times. Its all part of the experience.

Yes I tip. But how much depends on the service that I get.No it don't mater what they look like. No I don't flirt.

Well, I've been a server at a restaurant and I can say from what I see at Sonic and what I have done it all makes a difference on the individual customer.

I will usually give the loose change to $1. I always get something small. Such as mozzarella sticks and a soda.

Only if I am not using the drive-thru.  Like if I park and eat at the speakers, or at the tables I tip.

I used to tip at my local Sonic. And I was generally a good tipper. But the service started going downhill. Once I paid with cash and when the waitress brought me the change, she gave my the ones, around 3 or 4 of them I think, and kept the ten dollar bill. I pressed the button, told them I was missing change and she came back around and pulled the extra $10 out of her pants pocket. So it wasn't an oversight on her part, she was just trying to cheat me...and Yes, I had given her back 3 of the one dollar bills as a tip.  She helped herself to the extra $10. Other times I'd tip and half my order wouldn't be there. Bread would be harder than a brick. Some times you press the buttons and no one ever takes your order. I RARELY go to Sonic anymore and when I do, I no longer tip. However, if visiting another Sonic at a different location, or I notice my local Sonic has new employees or new management, I would tip. :)
