  1. Yes, we do.  But I really couldn't recommend America as a good place for an engineering career because age discrimination is still very much alive and well in the profession.

  2. Don't listen to the negative America is still one of the best places to work. Every year America has to import engineers for employment. American kids are to busy going to school and majoring in stupid liberal arts fields that don't pay the student loans off post graduation, this is the best time to be an engineer in America more opening than people to fill them. Especially if the job involves any type of defense job.

  3. Yes, there is a HUGE need for certain types of engineers.  Right now, structural engineers are in short supply.  Which engineering fields are needed fluctuates periodically.  If you've been educated in the Philippines, you're seriously out of luck.  The education and training there is so substandard that you'll never pass the licensing exams here.  I know dozens of Filipinos who graduated from the so called "top" schools in the PI who can't even come close to passing the license exams here (UOP, De La Salle, etc).

  4. The more engineers available, the less anyone needs to pay them.
