Although the U.S. receives  more tornadoes than any other country in the world, Canada does get them occasionally. I think the worst one to ever hit Canada was the one that struck Edmonton in 1987.

there is no geographic region on earth which can claim no tornados. they can occur anywhere.

Tornadoes are common in Canada...there was 3 tornadoes that touched down in Manitoba yesterday...
