Does England still control America?

Question

I heard that England still "owns" us (e.g. the Federal Reserve and the IRS is supposedly owned by the British and the Bank of England--so Americans are still paying taxes to England). I haven't looked into it, so I don't know much about it. Is this true? It seems like it when our presidents pay tribute to the queen on Independence Day (which is supposed to be independence from British rule)!

If one were to judge that concept by the amount of debt owed, then, logically speaking, Japan supposedly "owns" America.  (The UK is the third largest holder of US debt; however, only recently has the UK finished paying off its WW2 debt owed to the US.)  

One more misconception being parroted by conspiracy nuts:  the Federal Reserve is not "privately-run;"  it is an agency that is quasi-independent from the federal government.  The quote supposedly attributed to Woodrow Wilson and referenced by the user above me is a false one.  He never said those first 2 sentences as it would be almost complete unheard of for a public figure, nay the President, to ever make such brash comments openly.   The rest of the quote was referring to the rise of monopolies in various industries in the country, including banking.  These statements were actually made during campaign speeches made in 1912.  The Federal Reserve Act was not signed until 1913 so it is impossible for Wilson to even had been talking about the FED.  One of the biggest propagators of this blatant lie is a man by the name of G. Edward Griffin, member of the far-right isolationist crackpot organization John Birch Society, a man who onced worked with SEGREGATIONIST presidential candidate George Wallace and had peddled apricot seeds as a "cure" for cancer.

No we have full political independence and have since 1776. The UK might control economic resources in the US but so does Saudi Arabia and alot of other countries. The US controls parts of other counties economies too. But this is because we have a global economy.

This is one of the crazy conspiracy theories.

We have real conspiracies to fight and expose.  These include the Federal Reserve fraud, the North American Union, the threat of terrorism being used to justify the destruction of the Bill of Rights, and the Council on Foreign Relation's virtual control over our politicians and what we see and hear in the media.

You are correct, and everyone saying 'no' is brainwashed and ignorant. If you get your information from anywhere other than the U.S. media (which is all owned by the private bankers that own the Federal Reserve) than you'll know that the Federal Reserve is a privately run company created in 1913. It LOANS U.S. DOLLARS to the government. The constitution gives the government the right to coin money, however in 1913 Woodrow Wilson signed the Federal Reserve Act in exchange for campaign support, letting the FED (privately run) coin money. And in 1919, this is what he said,

"I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country.

A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit.

Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation,

therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men.

We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely

So to answer your question, it is not England's government, but more of the international bankers (that definitely influence the Bank of England), that control the U.S.

You have probably heard of Watergate as in the Watergate Scandal. That is owned by The(British) National Union of Mineworkers Pension Scheme.

We may have given the citizens independence but we still own our land there , The Commonwealth of Virginia isnt called the Commonwealth for nothing its still the British Commonwealth as it always has been.
