Question:

Does Kyle's bow offend you?

Or have you gotten used to it after all these wins? I fail to see how it is anymore disrespectful than the people that boo and throw things, but some people seem to get upset when he does it. So my question is, does it offend you when he does it, or do you like it?

  1. no it doesn't alittle cocky but hey i mean if he wins and wins he has a right to be alittle crass.

  2. It doesn't offend me... hey he won, he's probally getting booed at and he takes a bow so I think it's a pretty cool thing to do! And I don't understand why it would brother some people that's silly he takes a bow big deal, he earned it!! some people need to find better things to complain about don't you think?

  3. It reminds me of Alonso's postrace display.

  4. I love it! The more he does it the happier I am, but that's just me, lol..

I have to admit, I'm surprised by the answers above me, I would have thought more of you would have found it arrogant.

  5. It does not offend me; This guy kind of grows on you each week..............My grandfather had an old saying "It ain't braggin if you can back it up!!"

And he has been doing a lot of that!!

  6. I have never thought of it as being disrespectful. People have been bowing after performances for years. Whether he is doing it for the fans that don't like him, or doing it for the fans that do like him is just in the eye of the beholder I guess.

  7. LOVE IT!!! it has become his signature move. by itself, it's not the most original move - many others have bowed i'm sure, including junior when he had to bow out of a race because of engine problems last year. but "the rowdy bow" has evolved throughout the year as has added his own personal flair to it, and keeps doing so as the wins keep coming. first it was just a bow. now he gets out, shrugs his shoulders grandly as to say "what?" to everyone booing, then bows. then he gets the flag, goes back to the car and bows again.  at least he has for the past few races.

i love that he does it as it does have that great double meaning, as he has described - it is a sincere bow for his fans after a "well-done" performance (as though he had just finished playing the lead in a play), and it has that other meaning - that "boo me and i bow in your general direction anyway" meaning.

here's looking forward to many more!!!

  8. Nope not one teeny bit.   No more than Tony climbing a fence, or Carl doing a back flip. I love it.   The more bows the happier I am.

  9. Not at all, it's his style and fits him very well. What's cool about it is the fact that he copied Junior.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe Junior did it at California.

Like I said it's his thing so what??   =o`)

Addition: I am not bashing Kyle....he deserves to take a bow  for all he has accomplished in the last few weeks. I meant this as a compliment.

  10. I think it's kinda cute that Kyle got that idea of taking a bow from Dale Earnhardt Jr. Everybody has an influence.

  11. lets see whoes a fan of rusty walse gordan wile he wining and kyle bush when hes wining o a bandwagoneer who you gona like next year ??

  12. I find it very offensive! I think that he is just saying that he is better than anyone and always wil be. Although, it was quite funny when he got stuck in the mud at Daytona!   :)

Carl's backflip on the other hand....

  13. No, it doesn't offend me, it's just Kyle's signature move that he always does after a win.

  14. No,I think It's kind of cool..Much better than a back flip or climbing up a fence..Kyle's burnouts are all different too. very cool!

  15. It's just his way of saying thanks for showing up, and keep those cards and letters coming!

  16. No, because usually by that point I have changed the channel already.

edit:  Hey Lenny do I smell another bandwagon rider?  Earlier in the season you were bashing Kyle just as much as the rest of us, and here lately you have "hinting" how he's "growing" on you...you are a disgrace to that Jr avatar you use.

  17. No. Everyone is just letting him win anyway because of the way Hendrick treated him last season. Go on and let him have his fun. The chase will be different.

I like picking on you for some reason...LOL...

At my expense of having fun I know I'll see about 20 thumbs down though. Oh well. It was worth it.

See? You are learning... I'm proud of ya...!!! I knew if I kept throwing pennies at you, you would wind up with some "CENTS".

  18. Not in the least, and the crybaby thing he did, where he pretended to wipe his eyes, was actually pretty funny.  If I was him I would probably do the same thing.  I am not a fan of his, so I can't say that I like it but if I'm being totally honest, I do in a way.  It's good for NASCAR to have a new villian.  Tony was looking like the guy to take that role but the storyline, with Kyle coming to JGR from Hendrick, is much more compelling.  Mix in the foreign nameplate totally dominating this year and makes for the ultimate good vs. evil type of scenario.  I'm not saying Toyota is evil, but they are feared for the potential they have to take over NASCAR and make it too biased to one manufacturer.

  19. I think the only reason why ppl get offended by it is because when they boo rowdy they want to see him just break down and act like it hurts him to know hes being booed. Instead he just takes a bow and wipes a fake tear away sometimes and seems to do it all again the next week. It doesnt offend me because I appreciate good driving. He hasnt done anything to be booed in my book.

  20. I think it's a move that if you saw it a couple times a year it would be cool but he's just been winning so much lately it bothers people when they see it so much.  It's kind of a punk thing to do all the time but it's his thing and when you race cars and win, you get to do that.  If the other drivers want him to stop, all they have to do it beat him and he'll never do it again.

  21. Na I think its cool. Its his signature. When Carl wins it's the backflip, when Tony wins he climbs the fence, when Kulwicki won he did the polish victory lap, and when Jr wins he runs out of fuel. LOL i had too.

  22. Superdave hit the nail right on the head. It's completely original, just as Carl Edwards' backflip. I don't understand how anyone can be offended by it. Even if you aren't a Busch fan like I am (Kyle and Kurt!), I still don't see how it's offensive!

  23. I think it is cool.  It is sort of his way of saying FU all for not having faith in me last year.  Look what I can do this year.  Don't you wish you had me on your team.

  24. It doesn't offend me. Its original and kinda cool. It sure seems to rile the fans up. Being a Rusty Wallace fan(when he was driving) and a Kurt Busch fan the boo's dont upset me I'm use to them. But any fan throwing stuff on the track at anyone is dangerous and uncalled for.

  25. NO.   As was said earlier, it is his trade mark.

It isn't the wins that offend me either.  It is the fact that he can not own up to his mistakes on the track.  Wwhen he wrecks drivers it is "hard racing", when he gets wrecked...the other driver's fault.

  26. Nope, doesnt bother me one bit.

It has become his signature move.

Gets out of the car to get his checkered flag, and then stands on the door to take a bow.

I dont mind it one bit and I am not even a Kyle fan

  27. I could careless what he does after he wins a race.  That is his trademark than so be it.  I think he should have came up with something else since he copied Junior on the bowing.

  28. NO I actually love it!  It's like a "take that" to all the people booing in the stands....like saying...hey you may not like me..but I'm in the winner's circle!"  SO like Rihanna says..Kyle...go on and take a bow.

  29. Nope.   Everyone has their way of celebrating. Lol with all the drama maybe he thought he was back in drama class in high school and when the play if over, you bow. It seems this year he could actually take a bow before the race starts. Sure is tough to beat.

I laughed last year when Jr did it as he was facing the crew, kinda, not the fans which have stuck by him. It took the edge off my disappointment of another engine failure.

I laugh at Kyle when he bows too.

  30. Carl does flips, Smoke climbs fences (probably not til he sheds some pounds though), and kyle bows.......I'm not offended at all.

  31. does not offend me..I think it's his style and his way of handling the stress from the Fans at first..now it is his signature, gotta love it!...He did not let the boos get to him, but rather with grace and dignity, class act in my opinion..

Do not get me wrong here, I like Kyle and JR also as well and many  others but he figured a way to make ya like him and many more do..the bowing is to let us know that..YES he is good and knows it and he performs for the crowds of Fans..like him or not
