Question:

Does Mineral Makeup?

by  |  earlier

0 LIKES UnLike

Does it cover decently? I don't have acne of anything, just a few slightly red spots. I just want to even out my skin tone. But I don't want to break out from the makeup. So.. do the drugstore mineral foundations work ok? Is it worth the money!?

One more question!

If I went to Sephora, would they let me try a mineral powder? Like if they did a makeover?

Thanks!

  1. Yes it covers great.  Don't get drugstore stuff, seriously get everyday minerals.  http://www.everydayminerals.com  You can buy a free sample kit for the cost of $3 shipping that has 3 different shades of foundation, 1 blush, and 1 concealer.  And you choose it all yourself.  Best stuff ever and my face doesn't break out anymore.

  2. I think spending the extra money on Bare Minerals is worth it but if you have a limited budget than the drugstore brands will do.

Sephora lets you try their mineral powders. Just ask

    :]

  3. Mineral make up from the drugstore usually doesn't work well in my experience.

It also has an odd smell to it.

I'm pretty sure that they would let you try it if they were doing a make over thing on you. They always use what they want you to buy. :P

  4. I've tried drugstore "knockoffs" and even brand name "mineral" foundations (all containing talc, which is a bad thing and irritates sensitive skin--make SURE any product you buy is either pure minerals, or at the very least doesn't contain talc). I've seen women who tried the mineral makeups, some of them look sensational, some look like geisha girls. Most quality makeup lines will offer "testers" even if you need to contact the company directly.

  5. i use physicians formula mineral wear loose powder, and it does provide decent coverage considering the fact that it is so lightweight. it evens out my skin tone and reduces redness. but don't expect it to completely cover up all redness. and it does not cause breakouts. it actually is formulated to help reduce irritation and breakouts.

it is definitely worth the money. i got it for under 10 bucks at target. but you can purchase it at cvs or rite aid for about $10-11, and they will let your return it even if its opened or used (it's part of their comestics satisfaction guarantee)

    =]

  6. Try puritycosmetics.co.uk. It is really good!

  7. I absolutely love love love my mineral makeup. I don't recommend getting the drugstore brand though. If you are going to get it definitely get the quality stuff. I use bare essentials and it absolutely works and covers. Sephora and Ulta will let you demo the makeup before you buy it and should give you tips for applying with extra coverage. The "starter kit" you buy will also come with a DVD for application tips. Hope it works out for you!!!

  8. yes it works great i have like the same skin as you and i don't break out from it at all and it gives u a natural look ( not like a cakey mask)

    i use maybalene mineral power

    its amazing

it can get messy but besides that u should try it

  9. If you dont have acne you should like the mineral makeups. I dont think they work well enough for someone with frequent breakouts.

Many places will give you free makeovers with mineral product lines to try them out, however, I recommend you get a free trial pack at a website so you can see how it looks when you apply it. Most time you just have to pay s&h.

  10. get bare esentual makeup, it's amazing!

  11. i use mineral make up from the drugstore.

    i dont break out.

    and yea.
