  1. TOS has a minimum charge of $5.00 per trade. There's a .015 charge per share. If you buy 100 shares... you'd be paying $5.00... if you buy 500 shares the charge is; $7.50. The max charge for a market order is $9.95. Go to their web site for a full explanation.

    I've used;

    Schwab

    Scottrade

    TD Ameritrade

    Fidelity

    None of these come close to the benefits of trading with TOS.

    This is not for your average investor. This is a trading "platform" (software based). It's significantly better than any of the above. Many different types of conditional orders.  The ShadowTrader broadcast (alone) would make this the obvious choice.

    There's also constant updates to the platform (every time you think they've done something great... they get better).

    Lot's of free education;

    ie; https://www.thinkorswim.com/tos/displayP...

    I don't think they have inactivity fees.... but if that's of interest to you..... find another broker.

    (Operated by TD Ameritrade, $5.00 per trade, great for people that are looking for a low price broker (no live support).
