I'm worried abouts these little fishes that they sell at this store. I think that they never feed them or supervise them at all. There be fishes just floating around dead and being eaten by others! I'm also mad because this dumb employee told me that mollies and tiger barbs could be put together in a fish-tank because their tropical fishes. Then that barb kept bitting my mollies fins and c**p!

  1. I'm pretty sure.

I, for one, have never seen a dead fish at Walmart.

Any Walmart employees want to answer this one?

  2. I can't stand them either they suck why the h**l does a retail store called walmart ever sell ****** fishes anyway? Sign the petition:

  3. yes ive seen them feed the fish but that doesnt make them healthy fish. i stopped buying them from walmart because they dont quarantine their fish and so when you buy them they are usually sick and die in a few days.  but then again you cant expect everybody that works at walmart to know about what kinds are compatable and what ones arnt.    and then AGAIN you would think that they would get somebody in there that knows about fish so that you can avoid situations like that....sorry about your mollies. tiger barbs are well-known fin nippers.

  4. most of the time no they dont feed them if you want to kow about what fish can be in the same tank you should go to petsmart or petco and find out. i only know about fresh water.  but walmart seems to careless bout the fish you should go back there and talk to the manger and tell them what happened and tell them you want you money back

  5. ick! I dont know if they do feed 'em

but i know that the stop selling food for turtles ='(

  6. They do, but obviously not good enough. I've gotton a beta from there, and it died in less than a week. His name was Otto =( Poor Otto

  7. To be honest I think it depends on the employee. For example where I live they have two (maybe three if they hired again) people who take care of the fish. Neither one know too much about fish keeping...but one always asks me questions when I am in about keeping fish. The one that asks questions (although he doesn't know too much) is always right back in the pet section, feeding, treating, or cleaning the fish tanks. You can always tell when he works because it looks amazing. Now the other kid you have to hunt him down for him to help you. He doesn't know anything and never asks any questions and the tanks look terrible when he is there (tons of dead fish, sick fish etc.) I don't know how this guy keeps his job!

But to answer your question I think it depends more on the employee than anything else!

  8. When they're in the ocean or where-ever they're from no one feeds them.  They just eat the smaller fish or the dead fish.  Wal-Mart is just helping re-create their natural environment.

*We had mollies and tiger barbs in the same tank and had no problem with them at all.

  9. Yes they do feed them but only in the morning and at night and yes they should supervise them and get bigger tanks.

  10. Those poor fish, I doubt they do feed them. I think they could really care less. Poor fishies.

    =(

  11. most pet stores feed them very little food and not everyday, because the more they eat the more they p**p, and the employees are to lazy to clean the tank, so this way they don't have to clean it as much..

and most employees don't know jack s***t about fish..
