Does Yahoo care about user feedback?

The changes to My Yahoo are awful. The appearance is terrible and the page load times are abysmal.

Have you filed negative feedback and feel that yahoo doesn't care?

  1. My opinion is no, Yahoo doesn't care at all.  I find that nothing works on the "new and improved" my.yahoo so I'm going over to my.msn.com as a homepage.  Never thought I'd say that...

  2. It doesn't seem that they care does it?  Keep complaining and give them a couple of weeks to process the feedback.  I have to believe they're doing the best they can...bless their little hearts.  It can go one of two ways...you get what you want or they get what they want.

  3. It appears that they have made a business decision to move forward.  I agree with most posters that this is unfortunate.  I have had my yahoo account since at least 1996, and this transition is making me seriously consider changing providers.

Of course we've all dealt with it over the last few months.

    1.  You log out of yahoo and log back in, and they try to switch you over to the new yahoo.

    2.  You say "No."

    3.  They say "Why?"

    4.  You tell them that you don't like the new site.  Many features are gone.  The pages load slowly, etc.

    5.  The next time you log into yahoo, they try to switch you again.

I know others experienced this frustration.  After a couple of months, it was clear that they were not going to give up on the new format no matter how much we complained.

It's terribly unfortunate that the company appears to be uninterested in serious concerns we have.

    Good Luck.

  4. There have been a number of negative consequences to changes they have made in recent times, and I have sent feedback stating my problem with the changes. At this point, no, I don't think they care.

They are making changes to "keep up with other companies" in the industry, but clearly don't employ the talent to make these transitions smooth.  So, we get poor solutions nobody ever asked for, and they get fewer satisfied users.   In the end, everyone suffers.
