Does air travel affect your period?

i took a trip to Saudi Arabia (im from Canada) and it was like a 16 hour flight there and back.

Oh and i did some crazy stuff with the menstruation.

I didn't want my period on the vacation so i went to the doctor and she didnt give me birth control but she did give some hormone pill but i read beforehand that it might make you gain eight so i prolonged in taking it as long as possible. i was supposed to take it if i saw "spotting" but then i didnt and my period just came when we made a stop at the Egypt airport =| so then i just popped like 3 of the pills even though i was supposed to take one or two and my period like stopped a little and then kept coming. Then i took 3 pills for like four days and my period didnt stop it just like was really light. then when i knew it wasnt gonna stop i let it run its course and it stayed for about four more days with normalish flow. This was at the beggining of the trip.

i went on July 5 , it is now August 22.

im a virgin.
