how Machida uses self defence to win in mma. my brother is a tea kwon do red belt. thats how he's won all the times he's been forced to defend him self. I'm not saying machida is a great fighter. tito is a better fighter and so is frankilin but I think its cool how he uses self defense to win his fights

how can you say that Franklin is a better fighter if he got his a$$ knocked out in less than a minute and was handed his first loss?

you haven't really watched all his fights have you

he prefers to keep it standing and systematically picks fighters apart

strike here, strike there, move, strike

Tito tried for a takedown, Machida overpowered him and slammed Tito to the ground

i think hes a good fighter

but i think a match against Liddell or Wandy Silva who will push pace will make him have to rethink some of his game

Tito is a better fighter, and he lost. OK

He doesn't necessarily use self-defense, he waits for an opening that works against his opponents. He knew that if Tito would've took him down that Tito has an advantage, so he kept it standing.
