I don't believe in anything like ghosts, aliens, etc.... but I think I believe in ESP.

There are 3 people in my life that I think I may have ESP with:

1) my mom

2) my little sister (even though we don't get along well ha)

3) my first love, who is also one of my best friends

So a) do you believe in ESP, and b) who do you think you have it with?

  1. Everyone has extra sensory perception whether they know it or not.  Some are more in touch with it and are able to use it.  It goes hand in hand with intuition which is basically a 6th sense. By the way I don't believe in ghosts but I definatly believe in aliens.  This universe is much to big for us to be the only life.  Chances are there is another earth out there among the trillions of planets.

  2. yes

  3. They know you the best, that doesn't mean they have esp with you.

  4. I believe we all have it, but very very few have developed it to the point that you can distinguish between coincidences/intuition and claivoyance/telepathy/etc.

Usually when I hear someone say they have ESP, they usually have some need to feel superior.

I tell them to prove it by documenting all the dreams/hunches/etc. that they feel are ESP and see how many actually come true. In all cases, they never bring it up again.

And like I said, I *believe* in ESP and other mind powers...I just don't suffer foolish behavior.

  5. Not real, sometimes we know what people think, but it's not because of ESP, it's because of intuition.

  6. A.) no, and this rather limits my answer to B.)

I would believe in ESP if firstly, they came up with an actual mechanism for it to work through compatible with what we already know about the mind and found some evidence supporting this theory and secondly, they managed to show ESP reliably in laboratory conditions that could not be explained as chance, fluke, confirmation bias or intuition. They have done neither of these things. Anecdotal evidence is not proof. Plus, often fails to have sufficient samples or statistical testing (i.e. one pro example is considered important, but if there have been something like twenty misses or false alarms, that's not actually significant at all).
