I luv swimming and does anyone know any techniques to hold your breath for long periods of time say 30 seconds to 2 min

  1. Hyperventilate: Take four or five deep, fast breaths, get all of the air out of your lungs, then take a deep breath and dive. First you should practice on land, as you can pass out, but with practice, you will know how much to do it before the deep breath. You should be able to hold it over a minute. Don't "bear" down with a lung full of air as you can cause a rupture of one of the lung sacks. Just hold it lightly, and let a little bit out at a time.
