Does anyone work at JCPenneys?

I just started working there...is it a good company to work for?

well, i worked a jcpenny for a year and i felt they were stingy w/hours. i wanted full time but would not give it to me. a month after i quit i heard though a friend that alot of my fellow employes also quit because they said that JC was only giving the full time for the older peeps that had been there(understandable i guess) and part timers could not move up. and they were no longer going to hire part timers. i dont know maybe it was just that jcpeeny store(every jc has different mangement) but they do hassle u alot about offering alot of credit card apps to peeps if your a cashier. they were always on my boyfriends butt about it. (i was on the sell floor)I felt i had alot of work but i believe it was because they wouldnt hire more employes but besides all that i did like it even if it wasent the best. but hey it beats telemarketing. hope JC works for you.

My grandmother worked at J.C. Penney for more than 25 years.  They always treated her very well, in an era where women WEREN'T always treated well.  I'd say that they're definitely worth a try.  Good luck!
