Does black eyeshadow look bitchy?

Question

i was looking for a different way to do my makeup and i was thinking black eyeshadow over top of liquid eyeliner to make it last longer. my mom says it would look too bitchy, but i do a good job with my makeup and i think it would look good. any opinions?

It just depends on how you do it, you have to be careful with black eyeshadow, not to make yourself look like a raccoon or panda. Just go little by little and don't just slough a bunch on. Maybe do a smokey eye to add some lighter colors to make it not so intense.

Almost always. Thick black eyeliner is awful and it doesn't even make your eye look prettier. find something more neutral if you are going to go with a liquid or just stick with the pencil. I use a roll-up dark grey pencil. it works wonders. I only to the outside edge though... it looks much more natural and less "bitchy."

I think black shadow, if used sparingly and done with a very precise hand, it'll look classy or maybe a bit edgy...not 'bitchy' I guess. Depends on how you look at it. I love my black shadow...very pretty for a smoky eye, which is always a nice change from the neutral day-makeup.
