my neighbor, (I live in an apartment), changed his vent on the roof-put a smaller cap on it...since then , when windy (almost every day), the fumes come thru the air conditioner, the open windows etc... How can I resolve this-the apartment complex, says deal with it.....I don't think it's my place to talk to the neighbor.I stay sick because of this...lease is up in May 09

  1. You could die.

  2. Carbon Monoxide causes headaches and much worse!

If the landlord is not concerned maybe your local fire or public health department should be called. Often they will provide a free on site inspection and test the levels in your building. They will be able to apply the leverage needed to get something done. I would also suggest a CO detector to warn you if the levels become dangerous. Although long-term exposure to low levels have serious health consequences also.
