Does cheap brushes make any difference??

Question

I notice that most make-up artists in youtube use branded brushes like MAC brushes and the like... I'm on a budget so basically they are too expensive for me....

but.. i'm just wondering what makes those brushes like MAC different from drugstores one???

is it really worth it to buy those good brushes??

Yes I invested in some professional brushes a few years ago and they were worth every dime. Look after them and they will last u for years. Wash them in very mild baby shampoo and let them air dry. I recommend either MAC, Trish McEvoy or Bobbi Brown brushes.

What makes MAC different from drugstore is the workmanship and quality of the hairs that are used in the brush.

I used to think that expensive brushes were just hyped because of the 'name' but I can clearly say after going through countless brushes and lots of money, the ones that stand up for me are the most expensive ones.

If you want amazing makeup application then you need the brushes that are good quality. Buying the most expensive makeup in the world isn't going to make a difference if you're using cheap quality brushes.

One word of advice dont ever buy makeup brushes from ebay. 99% of the designer brushes are fake.

No, I got a makeup brush set that is absolutley brilliant and it was only £2.99.  I got a blusher brush, bronzing brush, eyeshadow smudger brush, eyeshadow applicators, lip brush and even spare mascara heads!  It was from Boots.

Many people buy the brushes just because of the brand. Although it's a great quality, it's not worth the price. Especially when you're on a budget. Try Target. They have great brushes at extremely affordable prices.

I think it is just a name. They probably feel better and they have better quality but I don't personally see any difference. Just a name.
