  1. You have to reallize that these fighters are working for the UFC for a maximum of 25 minutes. for one night. I undrstand that training takes time and money, but the UFC is only paying them to fight. Being a full time fighter is up to the fighter. I would say however that Dana White will treat you as well as you treat his fans, as well as you treat him personally, and as well as you treat the UFC.

  2. While I'll agree that the pay should be higher for fighters, the reality of it is that until another organization can become large enough to be a legitimate threat to UFC's base (both in terms of fighters and fans), the pay is not going to rise.  Why should Dana & Zuffa pay fighters more then they're are plenty of fighters begging to get their way into the organization?  Someone doesn't want to work for X amount of dollars a fight, ten other fighters would jump at the chance.

That also goes for benefits too.  The UFC doesn't need to provide benefits to fighters to attack top quality fighters.  On top of that, would you want to pay for someone to have full benefits all year round when they only work 4 nights a year (for a popular fighter)?

  3. That depends. Dana treats his good fighters very well. It is important to keep in mind a few things when pondering the situation:

    1. MMA is a sport where guys can come and go with the seaosns. It is a brutal sport and guys can suffer career changing/ending injuries any day of the week. It would be stupid to guys gaurantees with the uncertainty. The NFL doesnt give gauranteed money to people until they have proven themselves.

    2. Dana White is a business man. He has to keep in mind the financial aspects that we dont get to see. Just remember he is the guy who brought the sport back to a level where we can now all criticize how he treats his fighters.

    3. White was a figher, boxer for a long time so he knows both sides. When guys earn his respect and moneyhe treats them fairly. Lots of these guys have incentive ladden contracts that dont look like big money but end up very worthwhile. Just like Chad Johnson with a 2.7 mil base and he makes 6.1 mil after his incentives.

  4. Dana White is a smart dude that knows what he's doing.. You can't pay a fighter too much money cause you never know when tere career is going to take a turn for the worse.. I do think they are underpaid as in not getting the endorsements they should receive but all in all Dana White seems pretty straight forward and has one goal in mind and thats making the UFC the biggest and baddest company in MMA and sports.. He hypes matches up good and puts together good fights.. And for all the naysayers that take Tito and Randy Couture's side you have to understand Tito has not won a significant fight in a long time and Randy Couture is a fight or 2 away from walking away anyways and Dana White wants to see new stars emerge because face it a fighters career is not as long as ya think

  5. ROTFLMAO...give them another "Hummer" donated by GM LOL.  Who needs cash when you can give them "Hummers" like Don King gave Mike Tyson like what? 60 of them or something?  Dana just get them another "Hummer" who needs food and money for bills any way right?  Dana's got "Hummers" coming out of his a**!!!! Why not just give the fighters more "Hummers"?

As Dana would say, "F**K the Mother******* I'll just give'em Mother******* "Hummers" and if they don't like they can go f*** their selves!!!"

UFC Hummers man....tons of "Hummers" never mind the cash "Hummers" are always good, besides it worked for Dana's idol "Don King" didn't it?

  6. he treats some better than others, example chuck liddel he treats him good and r very good friends,  and tito ortiz is crying that he doesnt get paid enough

  7. I think if you're making enough money to train year round without having another job, you're doing ok.

Most of the lower end of UFC fighters can do this. Also, After every fight, Dana awards $50,000 to four fighters. (fight of the night, ko of the night, and submission of the night) If you're exciting to watch, Dana treats you well.
