  1. live long enough, and just about anything will cause cancer.

  2. I am sure the manufacturers would say 'no'. But to paraphrase Mandy Rice-Davies ' Well they would say that wouldn't they'.

  3. No.

If anyone suggests otherwise, can they please produce the evidence.

  4. If it did it would need a health warning on the bottle. Do you know the spanish people use it to unblock drains.

  5. Nope. If it did then cola companies would stop selling it, i guess if it were possible then it would be just like the sun can give you skin cancer or phones give you brain damage. Just because they may harm you doesn't mean you don't go out/don't use a phone.

  6. no of course not.Tell your friend to go read a book.Cause their obviously lacking in intelligence

  7. I heard that it was the sweetener that they were using that had been linked to higher instances of cancer... I think it may have been a Nutrasweet product.

As far as I was aware they have started using a different sweetener in their Diet products now...

    EDIT:

That's not to say that if you drink Diet Coke you will develop cancer, just (inconclusive) suggestions that there are correlations between those that do drink Diet Coke and those that develop cancer (particularly breast cancer).

This link contains some info on apartame (an element in Nutrasweet) and suggests the link between consumption and higher rates of cancer.

    http://www.aspartamekills.com/mpvalley/

It reveals some of the results of testing Nutrasweet on animals before it was released for human consumption. Apparently resulted in various tumours in the animals and even holes in their brains!! Scary stuff...

  8. if you listened to all what supposed to make you ill and give you cancer etc you wouldnt eat/drink anything.

  9. Nobody ACTUALLY knows.  Some health experts believe it does, but some believe it doesn't.

Nothing's been proved yet.  I don't know about you, but I'm going to carry on drinking it.  I'm addicted.  ;O

  10. I can't prove anything but my mom drank a ton of diet coke and sweetened her tea with artificial sweeteners.  She was diagnosed at age 43 with a very aggressive type of breast cancer.  She lived an otherwise healthy lifestyle, and there have been no other instances of cancer in my family (it wasn't linked to a genetic cause).  Luckily she's in remission, now but we've always suspected that it was linked to the artificial sweeteners.  Again, we can't prove it.

I would say, to be on the safe side, everything in moderation.
