Does education come first in India?

My cousin went to India and she said the people there are so smart! If you are Indian or know anything about the culture can you fill me in?..Thanks;]

Yes, I am an Indian, in India education is given more importance, but those with some or any education are also are smart. India has one of the great civilization - The Indus Vally Civilization.  We have different religions, languages, food & attire in every state.  Our tradition & customs though very, we have unity in diversity.  We are known for hospitality & people friendly.

your cousin is right.  The Education is here from the stone age.  Those are the days some 2000 years ago, there a school called ''Gurukula''  where the teaching was taught.  Not only teaching about the world, knife fight, arrow and other heroism plays too. This was continued even 300 years ago also. Even, the king will send his sons to Gurukula for learnings.  Next came the schools managed by the kings, jamindars and after due civilizations, the modern school born and modern education taught by the rulers. Education is india also, similarly there may be schools like this in other countries also, but this Gurukula school teachings are only in india on those days and therefore, we can say that the education comes first in india.
