Does getting an x-ray hurt?

  2. no they don't i have had 6 all to do with playing sport but  there first time reallylly scary but youll be fine its just like gettin a pic done except you dont have to smile

  3. Are you sure you have never had an x-ray?  Even of your teeth?  Dental x-rays feel the same as any other x-ray.

    Getting the actual x-ray exposure doesn't hurt.  You won't even know exactly when the x-rays are emitted, since the machine makes noise before and after the actual exposure.  The exposure lasts milliseconds.  

    But, if you are already hurt, the position you must maintain for the x-ray can cause pain.  Say your hand hurts when you spread out your fingers straight....we take a hand x-ray in this position.  If it hurts you to hold your hand that way, it will hurt some.

  4. No. They will put a lead apron on you, and then leave, press the button, which takes a picture of the bone they are x-raying, and then come back to remove it. No pain at all. Don't worry about it.


  5. No honey, i have plenty, you cant fel a thing, its just like a photograph :)
