I don't think you can have a 42 cent stamp from 2006, they just starting selling those stamps in May of 2008.

It depends on the size & weight of your envelope or package how many stamps you put on it, it has nothing to do with where it is going.  If it is a standard envelope you only need 1, 42 cent stamp.  

I can't believe you've never sent mail and don't know how it works if you are 16 years old.  Do you know how to do your own laundry?

As in the State Georgia, or the country Georgia?  

US post is US post.  It does not cost more to send something to Georgia than the next post office from home.

Most kids over the age of thirteen know these things, or can ask their parents!  Are you over 13????  

One first class stamp.  Someone help me here, since I no longer pay attention to how much I pay for them...42 or 47?  

One stamp only.  about 2 - 3 days.  And if you ARE NOT 13, you are not supposed to be on this site.

The current price of stamps is 42 cents and it doesn't matter how you a fix it to the envelope as long as it adds up to 42 cents.  For Ca to Ga it should take 3-4 days
