I was wondering if ice could get dirty if you dropped it on a normal, marble floor.

  1. if there was dirt on that floor, YES

  2. i dont think so.

heres why: even if some dirt (or something) got on the ice it would just melt off.

and ice is not very adhesive so not a lot of things would stick to it in the first place.

heres my theory of things getting dirty.

i think that ANY "stain" from anything in the world can be removed.

think of stains or things getting dirty like this:

    chalk and a chalkboard.

when you write on a chalkboard, all thats happening is millions of tiny tiny particles of chalk attach themseles to the chalkboard. only chalk is easily removed form a chalkboard.

take something like the classic 'wine on the rug.' i believe that with technology, even the worst stain could be removed, using the chalk principle. only in this case the wine molecules have "attached"  themselves to the fibers of the rug. with a very powerful microscope and some kind of tool, i THINK the "stain" could be removed. im not sure about this whole theory at all, but i was thinking about it recently, and it kinda makes sense.

but i dont know... i could be WAY off. but i think im right about the ice :)

  3. i found ice that was coverd in mud outside and iv dropped ice on the floor and i got crumbs on it so ya it can lol

    =]

  4. Yes , The ice would most likely get dirty but if you just let the outer layer melt for 1 minute or run the ice under warm water the dirt would wash off and the ice would be the same.

  5. Depends on where its been, what its dropped on or who its been rubbed on lol

  6. yes

  7. Yes, because the ice will be wet unless completely frozen, and the small amount of water on the outside will pick up dirt as easily as a wet cleaning rag.
