Does it bother you?.......?

When people ask questions here that have nothing to do with Gender and Women's Studies?

Frankly, I ask random questions here because I don't care to illicit opinions in other groups, this is essentially my online home. I'm blocked from youtube, myspace, ebay... anything featuring good music, books, and art... most medical sites... well, basically my options are Yahoo and wikipedia.

I think that just about every subject can be applied to Women's Studies so in my opinion no question should be off limits with the exception of blatant trolling and insults.

Kind of bother me... honestly, yes.

No, I don't report, but that's the reason I don't post anymore in spanish yahoo answer. I think sometimes we can distract the serious discussion, but sometimes the forum is filled with that kind of questions plus troll's ones, so stops to be interesting.

The only ones I think are a waste of time are those posted by the trolls who cut and paste medical or scientific jargon off Wikipedia and put it into the form of a question. I think their intention is to make themselves look intelligent; alas, the effort is sadly wasted.

I don't mind when the regulars go a little tangential.

Not really, I often go on missions to find people who can't categorize information and turn what is a productive area for other people into just another chat page.

No. However, I'm confused...are you saying you can access Yahoo answers but seem to limit yourself to Gender and Women's studies...? Yahoo covers a lot of subjects, but not necessarily the best source of information.

no... but I have never been one to be a stickler for the rules.

Plus allot of regs post good question that are off subject here simply becasue they trust the opinion of some of the other regs...

No, it's just the trolling questions that annoy me. I've posted  all my questions to GWS because I value the opinions of a lot of people here.

Random questions are cool, they're a good break from the squabbling about feminism, lol.
