Does my betta have dropsy?

i got my betta for a few months now...but i noticed that recently, as in 2 months ago i realised that my betta is swollen/bloated...not the whole body but jus the underneth of the stomach. my betta does not have the pinecone look and is eating, flaring well...not flickering or rubbing against objects...and has even blowned bubble nests...is this dropsy or what?

  1. If there is no pineconing its not dropsy, yet. Bloatedness is a sign something is wrong. Feed the fish cooked deshelled pea and then no food for sseveral days, watch for poopy. Healthy betta p**p should be little fat round balls, anything other than that such as white and stringy is a sign that the fish has become constipated and this may have led/could lead to a bacterial infection.

    Dropsy isn't a disease, but a secondary condition after the body can no long regulate the water moving in and out of it and the internal organs have begun to shut down.
