I do High Intensity Interval training 3 times a week.I do 7 sprints every time,so that makes 7x3=21 sprints a week. There are 52 weeks in a year,so thata makes 21x52=1 092 sprints every year.Won't that utterly s***w up your knee cartilage and leave you damaged for life?

  1. No, sprinting does not cause arthritis.  In fact, studies have shown that runners get arthritis less than others!  The reason for this is as follows:

Although running wears on your legs, the time you use for recovery allows it to...well, recover, and to grow back.  Thus, it won't just be gone one day.  Also, running will keep you in shape, which keeps your legs from having to support more weight than is necessary, which would wear on your knees without recovery.
