  1. i dun think it makes u go faster but it helps so that u dont pull ur muscles while ur running

  2. ya it can but u need to streach very long

  3. Stretching(not being flexible like you're talking about) is very crucial to running fast and being healthy. Being flexible like that can also help in the hurdles making it easy to snap your leg up and then back down fast.

Stretching is just a good thing to do. Even if you can't stretch far going a little farther each day can help. Make sure you stretch before and after your races too! good luck! :)

  4. its nothing magical.......... it just streches out your leg muscles so you do cramp up and you'll be loose when you run!!

  5. not necessarily touching your toes, but stretching increases stride length which will improve your sprint

  6. i dont think so. but ghosts can make u sprint fast.

  7. It has been scientifically proven that being flexible will improve many things athletically; sprinting/running is one of them.

  8. You wouldn't become faster, but it would be good for your muscles and POSSIBLY make running a little nicer.

  9. No, all stretching does is help to avid a muscle injury

  10. Yes!  Flexibility helps in all athletic endeavors.  There are many good books on stretches you can do.  For sprinting its important to stretch your calves, hamstrings, quads, hip flexor and glutes and back. Stretching after is probably more important than stretching before.  Warming up with some jogging and drills is important before a workout.  Touching your toes is not especially necessary, but make flexibility part of your routine and it will help.
