Does stretching help you sprint faster?

If I could stretch to my toes(which I can't), will I be able to sprint faster?

  1. It does help if you're more flexible.It will let your legs relax more and work more efficiently.If you're not so flexible and can't reach you're toes you should work on that it would be best for u.It helps to prevent injuries


  2. Not necessarily. It might help with turnover rate (how fast your legs move) and it will definately help prevent injury. But i kno people who can touch their toes and arent fast and ones who cant and are fast.

  3. Well when i joined an athletics club i couldn't touch my toes and the coaches told me that i was more likely to get back and hamstring injuries with my sprinting. Stretchting to touch you toes will make you more flexible and give you more body strength for when you run. Sprinters need to have good body strength so they can run tall and have good posture which could always help with your running technique.
