Does swimming help you lose weight?

Okay well I have a pool and it's summer so I'm planning on swimming almost everyday. For how long should I swim laps to see improvements? Will they show by near August?

  1. Sure it will, esp when you do a lot of front crawl swimming. Swim continuously for 30-45 mins, 5-6 days weekly will burn off a lot of fat. Increase the time per session after 2 weeks. And ensure you also follow a healthy diet and adequate sleep at night. In 2 months you should see good results, but it's hard work. Regards.


  2. swimming is one of the best exercises you can do for the body because it works your legs and arms and every muscle basically. I swim daily. I swim about 45minutes to an 1hr and 15minutes. and if you stick to it  it should show by August

  5. all exercises help you lose weight...there  is no easy way besides surgery to lose weight.  if you notice when they advertise pills and diet plans, they always say "with regular exercise".
