i) I was under the impression that the EU President was a 6-month appointment by the LEADERS of all countries who were members of the EU...?

ii) I was also under the impression that Tony Bliar(sic) had left politics - under somewhat of one h**l of a dark cloud....?

iii) I was also under the impression that Tony Bliar(sic) had a job... numerous jobs in fact.. a sort of jack of all trades, master of none.. and yet, allegedly, he's considering becoming the PRESIDENT of the EU...AGAIN? QUOTE "the former prime minister was "interested, but cautious" and only wanted the "job on his terms if the president is really going to be a strong presence" globally. " UNQUOTE

Note the word GLOBALLY.... hmmm didn't do enough damage in Iraq.. thinking bigger this time..hmmm

Under the Lisbon treaty the rotating presidency will be replaced by a single president for two and a half years, in line with the EU Parliament President.  

The President will be nominated by the Council of Ministers and accepted or rejected by the EU Parliament.

I think the EU is getting back at the UK government.  The EU has been made the scapegoat by Blair's government many times so its time Blair repaid the favour.

Why would the EU need a scape-goat, and  precisely that one, Tony Blair -  EU needs clear orientations - and does not expect anything in that sense from GB IN PARTICULAR , which is a Trojan horse, and Blair - why Blair ???

He left - nobody regrets him, mainly leftists - nobody needs him in particular - he is an opportunistic c**p - ok you'll say they are all the same - if they are all the same flush Blair and forget it.
