Question:

Does the MacBook Pro run minidiscs?

Obviously, it's unlikely, since it's a laptop. But... this is the first Mac of any kind I've ever had, so I don't know much about it.

  2. No!  The Mac CD drive does not have a tray like most other laptops.  It sucks in the CD - there is nothing that pops out.

    If you put a mini disc in there it will ruin the drive.  It only plays normal CD / DVDs.

  3. with mini discs i assume you mean  the  small  8 cm  ones yes?

    if thats what you mean then the awnser is no

    not because its incapable of  running thembut  macs  use slot loaders  

    and slot loading  dvd drives tend to choke on mini discs

    a mini disc works best on a spindle  or tray
