bees are a major pollenator but not the only ones. the end is not near.

The state of our agriculture is such that we will NOT have mass famine.  However, this bee loss IS digging into farm productivity, and we can all expect food prices to rise.

Not the extreme problem that you pose, but the loss of the bees IS a looming economic problem.

Hopefully it's some weird natural cycle that will right itself - no one has put forth a specific chemical or human-linked reason for this, to my knowledge.
