Doesn't this look like fun?

Question

I had to re-post bc it didn't show up for over an hour. If two suddenly appear, I apologize....

So...I'm curious if horse people in general, whether you do barrels, reining, pleasure, H/J, dressage...think this looks like fun. I personally have a Racking Horse, though I don't know of anybody else who does in my area. I had forgotten what it was like to get out there and cadillac like this with a group of gaited horses. Sigh. I actually do dressage with my boy. When we do rack, he's not too fast, except when he thinks he's racing the tractor. Weeeee...

So, regardless of your discipline, does this look fun to you? Would you want to try it for the experience?

Not really my idea of fun. But, then again I don't really care for gaited horses much. I prefer my stock breed horses.

Haha i've ridden a teenesee walker before they have such smooth trots but some can be very gaited lol =P

OK folks...THIS is why I have gaited horses.

Because they are FUN to ride.

I rode one of those once on a trail and it was AWESOME.  The other horse was cantering while I was racking and yet it was smooth as glass.  It was such an amazing feeling.

Someday I'd love to get a gaited horse.  Someday.  Right now I have too many as it is, need to thin out the herd!

edit: WOW!!! that does look like fun omg some of those horses in the last half go sooooo fast whoa....i love gaited horses so easy to ride after being used to a normal horse!

Oh i love gaited horses we have a reg. TWH who is extremely smooth, but is quite the idiot sometimes, he is very spooky but is fun to ride

they have the greatest personalities of any horse in my opinion

it does look like fun, I've never seen that "side" of gaited horses, only showing.. when they were racing it was AMAZING!

but personally, i much prefer galloping on a TB, dunno why, I've just always had a thing against gaited breeds, but this defiantly made me like them a little bit more..

anyways though... Yeah, i started riding on walkers innitially. my grandparents would swear by them. and yes they are a LOT of fun to ride, of course.. when i rode them they were no where NEAR as fast as those... i mean... WOW!

It looks really fun, as long as you skip over the shirtless guy hahaha.

I've never ridden a gaited horse. Admittedly when I think gaited I think sored and stacked TWHs with chains, so it's nice to see some normal gaited horses.

i'm going to say if it's about what i think it is about, then yeah it looks like fun, but saddly i read kevs and a few others answers and am alittle scared to go look at it before bed, so i'll go when i wake up fresh and ready for the new day. . . okay if it's a shirtless beer belly guy maybe i'll wait till i get a few shots in me and then go look tee hehe. thanks for the link tho, will check it out when i'm at a faster puter then this one.

edit: hehe i awake and watched it, yeah, i'd like ta try it . . . then again i'd be up for almost anything i havent tried in riding
