Dogz 5 help? Please?

Ok, so, I have the game Dogz 5 and I installed it and when I went to play it, it said, "Petz 5 requires A minimum resolution of 1024 by 768 pixels and minimum of 256 colors. Please use your desktop settings to adjust these values." How do I change that? Please, please help.

Right click on an empty part of your windows desktop. (not on an icon) From here there are differences if you use XP or Vista

There are differences if you use XP or Vista on how to accomplish this.  I'll list both, just in case.

on XP

Right click on an empty part of your windows desktop. (not on an icon) and select properties.  Click the 'settings' tab on the next window and you can change both your resolution and color settings. (you likely only need to increase your resolution settings)

on Vista

Right click on an empty part of your windows desktop. (not on an icon) Select 'personalize' and then 'display settings'  from here you can change both your resolution and color settings. (you likely only need to increase your resolution settings)
