Dolls house suitable for a boy?

hi,

does anyone know where to buy a dolls house a boy can play with, in other words not pink.

i am looking for a large wooden house preferably where the front of the house opens up and has rooms stairs and furniture inside. the only ones i can find have pink on them, we dont really want to pay more than £80 for it.

No silly comments please about boys playing with dolls houses, my son is only 2 years old and spends hours and hours playing in his sisters dolls house so we want to get him one of his own.

it encourages immagination and interactive play so if the only toy my son wants to play with is a dolls house then he shall have a dolls house, he can always have a garage and cars next time, if he wants one.

My cousin used to play with dolls. Now he's g*y. It's your responsibility to mold him into the man he is going to be. If you want to encourage imagination and interactive play get him some tinker toys or blocks or some matchbox cars.

They're not really designed for boys.  If the transgender toy is not a problem for you, then neither should the colour pink be.

I'd have thought early learning centre would be a good bet, but I looked on their website and no, they're pretty much all pink and very girly.

The pintoy dolls houses look good, and they're chunky too so they should be quite suitable for a two year old. There's a few of them here:

But you seem to be able to get them from most dolls house places. The furniture's not cheap though.

The Early learning Centre have the Happyland Rose Cottage at £25 for the basic cottage ..very slightly pink but perfectly suitable for boys who , in my own experience, play with toy houses differently to girls but with no less enjoyment. The ELC used to make a very plain house in unpainted wood, it cost twice as much but it was a beautiful thing and extremely durable besides having, in my opinion, better add ons for a boy's use..things like garden sheds and out-door toy sets for the dolls..you might try ebay..using the search words " elc house "in the search bar. Even if you do not find a house you want thre you will find a large number of the furniture sets, some of them still boxed.

aww thats cute myy 5 year old brother LOVES barbie just get him littelest pet shop it has some pink but they are relly cool and have animals instead of dolls but u can use dolls 2

Sue Ryder charity shops do a lovely one in pale blue but I'm not sure of the cost. They are new and come with beautiful furniture. However we got a plain wooden one from toysrus and painted it. My son who is 6 adores his sisters dolls house and uses his dumper trucks to play removals with her. He also makes carpets and posters for it from his Dr Who mags! I think it's a great idea - when my son was two he had a play buggy and doll it's great for nurturing.

or you could try something like a fort with solders.

maybe you should let him play something more for boys but still has a bit of similarity with dolls houses. Examples can be castles, forts, etc
