Dominican Republic - Excursions?

Question

Hi,

Me and my partner are travelling to the Dominican Rupublic on 31st August and staying in San Juan.

We want to go on a few excursions while over there but dont know whats availiable.

We know about Ocean World but thats about it.

Can anyone help us out ????

Go to La Romana, it is the only good excursion there is. Or "Altos del Chacón". It is worth it.

But, anyways, I think you will be staying at Santo Domingo, right? As far as I know, San Juan is in Puerto Rico, not in Dominican Republic.

What part of the country? It is not that big but you can't just go from one end to the other in an hour.

There are a ton of tour operators there.  Jungle tours in a big truck are fun and there are bike tours that are hard or all down hill.  Jarabacoa is a good trip for the waterfalls.

The country is very beautiful and I recommend seeing the countryside.
