Dominican to canada?

Anyone has experiences of bringing a Dominican to Canada on a Temporary Resident Visa?

I have heard it's very very hard to have a friend visit here...

They need to have strong ties to their country, proving they will go back..

Any ideas or stories to share?

  1. its hard cause i live in the u.s. and it takes years

  2. Well, he/she might have to go to the Dominican consulate there or Canadian embassy. But I don't know if we have one in Dominican Republic. He/she must apply for a tourist visa and fill out the required paper work in which you will have to be included as the domicile where your friend will be residing. Once your friend is in Canada He/she can apply for permanent resident there .You can also call the Canadian Embassy in Canada and ask for more details on how to go about the process and you might have to fill out the papers for your friend etc . Here is the website you need . Good luck!
