Understand this then, Underground dog betting is ILLEGAL! its against the law! Dog fighting is not a sport! dogs are pets, a companion, mans best friend etc, NOT for idiots who fight there dogs to make money. Dog fighting/dog fights is very wrong & very cruel!

I have no idea how dog fighting works because it sickens me but I have been around plenty of underground poker rooms and bookies.

The way you'd run something with wooden cars would be difficult. You'd need to figure out which cars have the best odds of winning and then put out lines on the various races. The cars would need to be relatively comparable otherwise for a small betting market you'd get killed every time a favourite car ran. You'd then take action on the race. The goal is to get even action on both sides which is why you have a line. You pay the winners with the losers money and pocket the vig for yourself (usually 10%).

I don't see this working unless there are a lot of kids involved. Too few would make it difficult to get enough action to run a liquid betting scheme.
